In 2021, Graco initiated construction of a major manufacturing campus in Dayton, MN to support the company’s continued business growth. Designed by HGA as part of a master-planned expansion, the project supports manufacturing, lab, and office operations across multiple phases. Phase one included an $85 million ground-up facility with approximately 400,000 SF of manufacturing and warehouse space, 90,000 SF of office space, and 30,000 SF of lab space. The second phase began in 2023 at the Dayton, MN site and includes a 529,000 SF facility featuring a steel and precast structure with curtainwall, storefront, and metal panel exterior systems. This building also includes approximately 60 loading docks, a 30,000 SF office build-out, and the utility infrastructure and structural components required to support an automated retrieval system. The ongoing third phase, started in April 2026, introduces a modern three-story headquarters office building on the same French Lake campus as Graco’s existing distribution and manufacturing facilities. The overall campus plan also allows for future expansion, improved site circulation, and enhanced stormwater management systems. Graco Inc.’s expansion in Dayton, MN has received significant industry recognition, including the Finance & Commerce Top Project of 2023 award for the 530,000-square-foot French Lake Building 2, the Minnesota Real Estate Journal Industrial West Award – 2024, and the 29th Annual Award of Excellence from the Minnesota Construction Association for projects over $15 million. We are proud to serve as the demolition, excavation, and utility contractor across all phases of this project, currently providing key earthwork, site grading, demolition, and underground utility installation to support development of the campus.
