Responsibilities
- Overall Project Success to include material procurement, conflict resolution, project deadlines, coordination with project superintendents, administrative staff, outside consultants, and foremost client satisfaction
- Project estimating, performing quantity take-offs, understanding scope changes and pricing, reviewing plans and specifications, gathering quotes and submittals and tracking all project revisions
- Contract review and execution
- Reviewing and obtaining necessary permits and licensing.
- Manage distribution and pricing of project changes
- Assist superintendent in tracking labor costs
- Perform necessary cost accounting for on-going projects including daily/weekly cost verifications, change orders, monthly project cost projections, manage and monitor project billings, attending project meetings, representing Kevitt Companies with clients/customers/vendors
- Continuous marketing of existing company clients and assist with efforts to generate/develop new client relationships
- Assist with mentoring of Junior Estimator, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Coordinators
Required
- Demonstrated experience building strong partnerships and trust with external partners, including owners, design firms, general contractors and subcontractors.
- Possess a good understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
- General knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing.
- Competent in specification, plan, and drawing reading and interpretations.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or regulatory agencies.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Applications
Preferred
- 3-5+ years of related experience, including experience with self-perform capabilities
- Four-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree
- Estimating or field experience
- Knowledge of Demolition, Earthwork and Site Utilities
- Scheduling experience
- Bidding and management software, including but not limited to Agtek, B2W, Bluebeam and Plangrid
